This policy describes how the Shopify app Spec Table (“the App”) handles information when merchants install it on their stores.

Who we are

The App is operated by its developer (“we”, “us”) and made available through the Shopify platform. Technical contact for merchants is the support channel published on the App’s Shopify App Store listing.

Information we process

• Shop and authentication data. To run the App we store Shopify OAuth session records needed to authenticate API requests on behalf of the installing merchant (for example shop domain / identifiers and access tokens), in our application database.
• App configuration. Merchant templates, assignment rules, and display settings are stored in Shopify AppInstallation metafields (app_data namespace) scoped to your App installation—not in our database.
• Product catalogue data. The App reads product-related data from Shopify via the granted API scopes while you use the App (including for admin UI and storefront rendering).
• Logs and diagnostics. We may collect limited technical logs needed to operate the service and investigate errors.

Information we intentionally do not store for this MVP

• We do not use the App to collect or warehouse your buyers’ personal data for marketing.
• Mandatory Shopify compliance topics for GDPR-related webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) are implemented; customer personal data that we do not store cannot be retrieved from within the App.

Billing

Subscription billing may be handled by Shopify. We do not store full payment card details on servers we operate.

The App backend is reachable at https://spec-layer.fly.dev.

Retention

OAuth session records are deleted when the App is uninstalled or when Shopify requests shop data removal through compliance webhooks, subject to lawful retention obligations.

Updates

We may update this policy periodically. Updates will appear on this page with a revised “Last reviewed” date.
